Lake Titicaca
After leaving La Paz we headed for Copacabana on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The bus ride from La Paz to Copacabana in a great ride. After reading online that the road wasn't known for safety I have come to the assumption that this was outdated. For once in Bolivia the whole journey was on a paved road. We arrived in Copacabana late in to the afternoon. We headed for a hostel that Clinton's guide

CHAPARE the storyhope I dont get malaria
Cant believe I wore only wore shorts knowing that I was going to the jungle. Ended up with a vast amount of mosquito bites all on my legs and havent been taking my malaria medication due to some lucid dreaming and advice from experts telling me its not required in Cochabamba. Well Chapare wasnt in cochabamba but more of on the outskirts of Villa TUNARI and was the farthest in the jungle I have y
Miners are mad
There was not much to do in Potosi except go down a hole so we thought why notThe town they say is the highest city in the world used to produce most of South America and Spains silver. Now the silver is almost run out but they keep mining for other raw materials. We got kitted up and shown the plants at which they seperate the silver from the rock in order to sell. The health and safety sid
La Paz
We woke in the morning early to get a bus back to La Quiaca and back to Argentina. A step we didn't want to take but were left with very little else we could do. Simon was going to have to take the bus east to a larger city with a small airport in which he could then fly to La Paz for his flight back to America. So we got up and went to fetch some last minute things while Clinton headed to the bus

The Airports
The trip to Cochabamba Bolivia was a long and arduous one full of nofun. I left my apartment in columbus at about 430 on a Tuesday morning for my 740 am flight to Miami. As soon as I got past security I realized that I forgot my passport type photo that I need for my Bolivian visa. Darn.Since I arrived so early at the airport I scoured the internet for a place in Miami where I could get s
Tarija
When we left for Tarija my cousin joked that his brother would head to the airport when he saw the plane flying over the town...well it was no joke..he did wait to see the plane before heading over to pick us up. Tarija is a small town..with two plazas and a handful of restaurants that served good Argentinean beef. It was small but in a nice safe way. The first couple of days there we had great

The tragic trail from La Paz to Uyuni
Really not my day It all started harmlessly enough wandering the fascinating witches markets admiring the dried llama foetuses. At noon Gonzalo picked us up and walked us to his favourite steakhouse near the bus station where we are going to catch the bus to Oruro to get the train to Uyuni. Here is where it started to go horribly wrong as on the way down the steep downhill steps I rolled my an
